Shipping Policy

We really like when customers are happy, so we make every effort to ship quickly and communicate clearly. Please review our shipping policy and shipping restrictions below before ordering. If you have any questions, please text us or call prior to ordering.

We offer thousands of parts, accessories and products through our website. We have 2 categories: In Stock Items and Special Order Items.

In Stock Item

In Stock items ship from our facility by the next business day (unless the order also includes a Special Order item). This term refers to parts, accessories and products regularly stocked in our facility. Our website displays these parts as “In Stock” on the item page. If our current inventory is sold out, customers may order from our inbound orders (Special Order Items). In stock Items will then ship when the Special Orders are received (we operate on ship order in FULL unless arranged separately with our shipping department based on order value and amount of items in stock versus special order).

Special Order Item

Special Order Item refers to any part, accessory or product that is not stocked in our facility. This term was chosen because these items are not immediately shipped and have to be ordered from our distributors. Low volume products, oversized items and brand new parts are quickly available from manufacturer then shipped from our facility. Special Order Items typically ship from our facility within a week. Please allow 7-14 days for delivery.

We do not offer 2nd Day express shipping options on special order items because delays with manufacturers, supplier back orders and other supply chain issues may apply to these orders. We notify all customers if delays occur.

Certain restrictions prevent us from shipping to all geographical locations all the time 

The Mower Shop reserves the right to cancel any order for any lawful reason

Shipping is limited to the contiguous 48 United States

Orders will be cancelled to any address with a shipping address in an undeliverable geographical location within the contiguous U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Protectorates, PO Boxes and all international address

Manufacturer Policy

 Unfulfillable orders will be cancelled upon receipt

Cancelled/voided credit card transactions and other payment services may hold pending charges

Parts Shipping

Fast Shipping is a goal

 IN STOCK items ship by the next business day. (unless the order also includes “SpecialOrder” items then the order typically ships IN FULL when the special order item is received unless you have selected the “Split Ship” option at checkout)

During the spring and summer many IN STOCK items sell out. We notify all buyers if an order cannot be fulfilled within 2-3 days of placing an order. Buyers always have the option to cancel an order prior to shipment.

ALL other items (those not identified as IN STOCK) ship from our manufacturers/suppliers to our facility

Please allow 3-14 business days for these orders to ship. Certain manufacturers experience delays due to back orders, increased volume and seasonal shipping delays. If a backorder is longer than 14 business days we notify you via email. You may cancel the pending order and refund payment at any time prior to shipment from our facility.

We email you with all information regarding backorders and other delays when available.

 ALL ORDERS PLACED ON FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL MONDAY.

Shipping is restricted to the contiguous 48 states.

Proposition 65 Restrictions restrict some orders from shipping to California (see details).

Shipping Options

Our fulfillment center is located in Indianapolis, Indiana transit times will vary based on your location.

We use the following carriers to ship your order.

USPS First Class Mail is an economical option for orders weighing under 1lb.

UPS SurePost is a faster option. UPS handles transit from our facility to your zip code. Final delivery occurs to home via your local post office or a local UPS delivery.

UPS Ground typically arrives 1-2 days faster than SurePost. In many areas this service includes weekend delivery which may expedite delivery for orders placed later in the week

Express UPS 2-Day Air is the fastest shipping method we offer. See Express 2-Day Shipping for details. Please Note: UPS currently does not guarantee 2 day delivery on express packages.

We endeavor to ship orders by the following business day. If items within your order are out of stock we will contact you via email to provide best options.

Express 2-Day Shipping

UPS 2-Day Air does NOT guarantee 1-Day or 2-Day Delivery on any Air Service but orders will arrive faster than Ground delivery.

PLEASE NOTE our detailed shipping policy before upgrading to Express 2-Day Shipping:

Your order will ship by the same business day if placed before 1PM EST Monday thru Friday. After 1PM EST Monday thru Friday your order will ship by the next business day (Monday thru Friday). If items within your order are out of stock we will contact you within 24 hours to provide a solution.

Only IN STOCK items will have the option to upgrade to Express 2-Day shipping.

UPS will not delivery to a PO Box via UPS Ground and Air

Please understand our Express Shipping Schedule before upgrading

Express carriers do not operate on Saturday and Sunday in many areas

Non-Stock items are not eligible for express shipping

Orders placed on Thursday before 1pm EST will arrive Monday and orders placed after 1pm EST will arrive by Tuesday

Orders placed on Friday before 1pm EST will arrive on Tuesday and orders placed after 1pm EST Friday, Saturday or Sunday will ship Monday with Wednesday Delivery

Express Next Day Shipping

         UPS Next Day Air does NOT guarantee 1-Day Delivery on any Air Service but orders will arrive faster than Ground delivery.

                  Your order will ship by the same business day if placed before 1PM EST Monday thru Friday. Order Confirmation

The Mower Shop emails order confirmation upon payment confirmation 

A second email is sent when the order ships

A final email is sent when the carrier scans your order as delivered 

Tracking Orders

ALL orders receive a tracking number from the carrier (USPS, or UPS)

Tracking number is included in the email confirming shipment

Special Order Items

Items labeled IN STOCK typically ship by the following business day

Occasionally shipping delays occur due to lack of inventory or backorders with manufacturers.

In the case of manufacturer back orders, we will attempt to contact you and the order will be cancelled and all payment methods refunded.

All NON-Stocked Items ship between 3-8 business days from date of order

Our team works hard to update buyers of delays, back orders and any other issue that may arise

Cancelled Orders

Buyers may request an order cancellation at any point before shipment

Once an order has shipped, buyers must adhere to the standard return policy

Once an order is cancelled, credit card and other payment systems may still show payment pending

Products & Accessories

 

Local Delivery restriction

Products labeled “Local Delivery” are not eligible for shipping beyond our local region

Local Delivery products are delivered fully assembled and tested to specific Indiana counties: Boone, Hamilton, Hancock & Marion

Any order outside this specific geographical location is subject to cancellation

Certain restrictions prevent us from shipping these items to all geographical locations
