Removing a Mower From Storage

Before starting a mower, make sure to inspect its condition. Follow these steps and refer to your owner's manual for additional information:

1. Check and tighten all fasteners.


2. Visually inspect all controls, tires, deck and operator controls.


3. Remove the spark plug and spin the engine rapidly using the starter to blow excess oil from cylinder.


4. Install the spark plug and tighten it within the manufacturers specified range.


5. Perform any needed maintenance procedures including fluids and filter changes.


6. Fill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline.


7. Connect the spark plug wire.


8. Charge the battery (if applicable).
